Bellydance Classes
Beginner Bellydance (Level 1):
This class is designed for beginners, focusing on fundamental movements while developing strong posture, iconic steps, and more.
What you’ll learn:
Basic posture and alignment
Essential isolations (hips, chest, and arms)
Simple steps and graceful movements
Duration: Stay at this level for at least two sessions, or until you feel confident and ready to move up.
Mixed Level:
This class emphasizes posture, isolations, and fundamental technique, helping you develop a strong and confident dance foundation. Each session introduces a new module, so staying at this level for 3 to 4 sessions is highly recommended to absorb all the essential steps fully.
What you’ll learn:
Core bellydance movements and isolations
Arm and hand coordination
Basic rhythms and musicality
Lots of shimmies
Duration: Minimum three full sessions (9 months) before progressing. Please talk to us first for a level assessment.
Intermediate Bellydance (Level 3):
The pace picks up here, preparing you for more intermediate steps and choreographies! This level bridges the gap between beginner and intermediate dancers, combining fluidity with technique. You’ll explore more complex movements, layering, and musical expression while diving into Baladi and folklore styles.
Perfect for: Dancers with a solid foundation in posture, isolations, and bellydance vocabulary.
Prerequisite: At least three Beginner sessions (9 months). Please talk to us first for a level assessment.
What you’ll learn:
Intermediate isolations and layering
Complex footwork and traveling steps
Introduction to Baladi and Egyptian folklore
Movements on relevé (on toes) and an introduction to veil work
Duration: At least one year of consistent training is recommended.
Inter/Advanced Bellydance (Level 4):
This level is designed for dancers with strong technique and posture who are ready to explore deeper musical interpretation, emotive expression, and performance skills. Expect intricate drills, powerful movements, and fluid transitions to elevate your stage presence.
Prerequisite: Must consult with Nourah before joining. A level assessment is mandatory, with a minimum of two years of experience and prior performance background.

Mejance, stage presence, and refined choreography
Seamless transitions and emotional expression
Complex choreography with a focus on stage presence
Mastering advanced isolations, layering, and dynamics
Duration: This level is designed for continual growth, and there’s always something new to master!

Dance Hub Toronto Team
This program is for committed dancers who want to represent our studio at events, festivals, and performances. In this 40-45 minute choreography class, you’ll learn a variety of group choreographies while building the skills needed to dance in perfect harmony with others.
Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in the Intermediate or Advanced class alongside this troupe class. An audition is required, along with a minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of dance experience.
What you’ll learn:
Precision, synchronization, and spatial awareness
Stage etiquette and teamwork in a performance setting
Adapting to different formations and performance spaces
Duration: The troupe is an ongoing program, with new choreographies and opportunities introduced regularly.
